Fall Food and Festivals
New Mexico locals know that one of the best times of the year in the state is the fall. After we burn the year’s doom and gloom in the late summer rite, known as Zozobra, locals move on to preparing their green chile stash for winter and celebrating at the Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta. This year’s event takes place from September 21 through September 25.
Santa Fe’s Wine and Chile Fiesta brings together 50 of Santa Fe’s best restaurants and pairs them with wineries from around the world. The fiesta, over the course of five days, features dinners, cooking demonstrations, winery luncheons and even a golf tournament. This year the event is celebrating its 31st year.
Although Blame Her Ranch is often booked in September for weddings, there is a chance, if you book early enough… that the ranch could be available. Blame Her Ranch serves as a great base camp for a group of foodie friends wanting to check out the Wine and Chile Fiesta for the first time or return to the event.
