Rent the Ranch

You want one place for the entire family or group to congregate, eat and have fun. With a 28-foot stone fireplace, leather sofas and chairs this will be your center of activity while at Blame Her Ranch. Twenty-Five inch logs, gigantic moss covered stones and 3-story ceilings, makes you feel almost small in the Great Room.

Eating and ranch living go hand in hand. So you need a Dining Room and a Dining Table to match. Our rustic mesquite table with leather end chairs and Santa Fe style benches makes any dinner party fun ~  especially when you add the Blame Her Ranch dishware.

Seems like no matter how big the house, everyone goes to the kitchen.  With a 20-foot center island, 60-inch Wolf Dual Ovens/6-burner Stove Top with Griddle, Grill and other major appliances, you can put on the ultimate dining experience. Oh, and we forgot to mention the kitchen bar that seats four because everyone loves to watch.

Game rooms shouldn’t be in the basement or isolated from the Main House. Ours looks down over the Great Room so no matter where you are, you are part of the party. Whether it’s billiards, pinball, Foosball, Ms. Pac-Man, Asteroids, Air Hockey, darts or poker for eight at our custom game table we have you covered. Not to mention about 10 different board games.

Over 1,200 movies for you to pick from our DVD Library. Or order a movie of your choice through DirecTV or Apple TV. Just like being at the Cineplex, we have our own 50’s popcorn and Coke machine, candy concessions bar and cotton candy machine! And, if you get tired of watching movies, how about Karaoke or Xbox? To add to your enjoyment we have brand new 4D theatre chairs that give vibrations to the movie you are watching! Don’t like what the kids picked for movie night, don’t worry there are 19 more flat screens at the ranch for your viewing pleasure.

Not all the cooking and fun should be indoors. And with Santa Fe’s cool nights and warm summer days you’ll want to be outside as much as you can. Our special covered patio, with its stone fireplace and vertical flame outdoor heaters, lets you enjoy the patio almost year round. The Italian stone pizza oven makes world class pizza and our electric smoker can handle up to 50 pounds of smoked brisket.  And for all you sports enthusiasts who like to BBQ and watch the game, you will enjoy the 50 inch outdoor plasma TV.

Whether it’s weight training, cardio, yoga, rowing, exercise balls or cycling, we’ve got the equipment you need. We also have a list of virtual or local personal trainers to assist you in all your workout needs.  Also, we have the revolutionary Power Plate for an incredible vibration training!  And after that workout, how about a steam shower to relax and unwind.

Being on the ranch doesn’t mean not being connected to the outside world (unless you want to be). Here you’ll have an office in both the Main Lodge and Barn/Guest House with high speed DSL, computers, printers and fax. The office in the Main Lodge can also serve as your 9th bedroom with a pull-out sofa.

It has always been a dream of ranch owners Steve and Linda Blamer to have a fish tank… but, not just an ordinary fish tank. Check out our beautiful new custom 650 gallon fish tank. We have a variety of fish in the tank including Blood Red Parrot Cichlids, Bala Shark, Albino Pacu, Rainbows, Marbled Angelfish, Plecosthemus, Gold Severus! They are beautiful and all came directly to BHR from Africa! One of our favorite rustic design elements is the teak wood sticking out of the fish tank. But, if that wasn’t enough, the BHR Great Room needed a waterfall pouring water in from above directly into the tank.

Crank up the party and “let the good times roll” as the great Louis Jordan said. BHR has its very own custom juke box that is based on a classic 1930’s bubble juke box from Wurlitzer. Enjoy over 200 records all from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s. In the Game Room or anyplace in the Main Lodge, you can dance the night away!

Ever wonder what happens to old church altars? They become bars (after they are de-blessed) at BHR. This 20 foot hand-carved bar is the center piece of the game room. It’s a tradition that all guests of Blame Her Ranch bring a bottle of their favorite tequila as a donation to the bar (or altar if you will). But their contribution doesn’t go unnoticed because they get their picture up on the bar forever.

Santa Fe is best known for its great weather. Our warm days and cool nights mean you can beat the summer heat in your home town and enjoy an incredible environment with little humidity and over 300 days of sunshine. Here at the ranch you’ll find 1,800 square feet of covered patios and decks that seat 26!  Our hanging Zen garden with its water features and floating day beds guarantees you will get the best nap ever or a good read!

Whether it’s touch football or a formal wedding, you need space and Blame Her Ranch has it with our 18,000 sq. ft. lawn.  One step off the wooden deck that surrounds the Main Lodge and Wings, takes you down a gentle slope to the edge of the cliff with views of over 70 miles.

This very unique Barn/Guest House gives you and your guests a second option when staying at the ranch. With two large bedrooms (only the lower downstairs bedroom is available) and baths plus a full kitchen, dining room and office, ranch life is great even when you don’t want to stay at the Main Lodge.

Most people keep horses, tractors and and lots of stuff in their barn, but at BHR it’s a 1,750 sq. ft. party/dance hall. It comes with 2 flat screen TV’s, stereo sound system, hay bale sofa’s, heaters and wine barrel cocktail tables and bars. It is perfect for wedding barn chic events, corporate events and even large group management meetings.

Blame Her Ranch has always had a beautiful outdoor ceremony area. But , it also included a long twisting rock line walkway for the bride and wedding party to walk down. What was missing was the classic “Tah-Dah” moment where everybody turns and sees the bride for the first time. In order to accomplish this we needed a wall, an adobe wall, with a vintage door (from the 1850’s) that can be opened at just the right time. It was designed from the classic walls of the past with a 1910 church bell up top to celebrate the nuptials. So, don’t forget to ring the bell after saying, “I DO!”

Whether it is an outdoor wedding, corporate event or BBQ, you can’t beat BHR’s cliffside gazebo. With breathtaking views of over 70 miles and clouds you can almost touch, this outdoor ceremony/event area is unmatched in NM or maybe anywhere in the United States. The log covered cedar pine gazebo can accommodate up to 200 guests with a separate patio area showcasing tree branches to form a perfect arch that frames the rustic southwestern view.

Out by the edge of the cliff sits the BHR Pool. This 40 foot lap pool allows the swimmers of the family to do their laps while being cheered on by family and friends sitting on the Baja shelf enjoying the breathtaking New Mexico sunsets.

Take in the beautiful views and sunsets at BHR while relaxing on our stunning Restoration Hardware day beds and lounge chairs. Its a great place to take a good rest before your big event or if you just need some time to reconnect with nature!

Blame Her Ranch has an 8×20 Greenhouse to feed our guests and grow some unbelievable flowers. You’ll also find our orchard of cherry and apple trees–how else can you make homemade pies?

Blame Her Ranch may have the only Caldron Hot Tub in the USA. Enjoy soaking and watching the sun go down across the perfect New Mexico skies.
