I Do, but not in 2022!

While the title of this blog post might get you down, especially if you are planning a wedding. We are exploring this topic to help couples prepare for what is going to be a reality this year.

The likelihood of delays and supply chain issues has become a lot more plausible. Like the rest of the United States, New Mexico is experiencing the same post-pandemic shortages—and, with longstanding venue’s like La Mesita Ranch closing, even more so.

For couples insisting on getting married in 2022, we are unfortunately telling couples… I do, but not for 22. What is just as important for any newly engaged couple is that 2023 is filling up quickly.

Blame Her Ranch is already 20% full for peak weekends. While we have been lucky, many venues and wedding vendors have been hit with increasing costs, staffing shortfalls, and again, availability issues.  So, while you might find the perfect venue, make sure that everything from the caterer to the florist can operate on your special day and provide the necessary supplies to make your wedding special.

With engagement season now in full swing, prices are going up and availability is limited. Blame Her Ranch has committed to not raising their prices until late next year. The initial increase will only be 5%.  Other venues are increasing their rates as much as 25% or greater.  BHR is also offering couples a 10% discount for booking quickly and early!  They have also reduced the cost of their single-day option and even have created a “quickie” wedding for five hours at their Cliffside Ceremony and Knotty Pine Barn.

Weddings have always been a stressful time, but this post-pandemic world is without question increasing the stress level for everyone.  It is up to venues like ours to creatively think outside the box to help couples get the wedding of their dreams at the time they want and at the price they can afford.
